History: Domitian restored the economy of Rome by revaluing Roman coinage, rebuilding the city of Rome, and fortifying the border defenses of the Empire. The cornucopia (from the Latin cornucopiae, ‘horn of plenty’) on the reverse of this coin symbolises the prosperity brought to the Roman people by the emperor.
