Reverse: Square-topped shield over cross moline quartering arms. Text around: CHRISTO AVSPICE REGNO.

History: This coin was struck just before the Civil war that started in 1642. The parliamentary government continued to issue coins at London with Charles's name and portrait until the king's trial and execution.
