Text below AVGVSTVS.
History:
The Capricorn represents Augustus' birth sign
and is in the form of a goat in the forepart
terminating in the tail of a fish. The cornucopia
and rudder represent Fortune with the horn
of abundance and a ships helm as though she
both conferred wealth and had guidance of
human affairs. The globe that Capricorn holds
is an indication of world domination.
