Obverse: Laureate head of Tiberius right. Text around TI CAESAR DIVI AVG F AVGVSTVS.

Reverse: Livia (Tiberius' mother) as Pax seated right or throne with ornamented legs, holding olive branch in left hand and long vertical sceptre in right. Text around PONTIF MAXIM.

History: This coin is a scarce gold version of the 'Tribute Penny', the coin to which Jesus referred when he was discussing paying taxes to the Romans (Matthew 22, 17-21).

Date: Lugdumun mint AD 14-37.
